Pseudophakic Bullous Keratopathy

The case of a patient with pseudophakic bullous keratopathy is presented.  The bullous changes (blisters) of the epithelium on the surface of the cornea can be clearly seen.

In the Visante image the anterior segment is clearly visible.  From angle to angle all the structures are clear.  The Bullous changes on the surface cause little to no distortion.  The anterior surface of the posterior chamber IOL is clearly noted.  The outline of the ciliary body is visible.

In the Pentacam Scheimpflug image of the anterior segment of the same patient as above, significant "noise" is created from moderate corneal edema.  The angle are not visible an the optically neutral PCIOL is really made out by the 475nm technology.  The optical distortions of the bullae can be seen as irregularity of the iris underneath it as compare to the opposite site iris.
